Our Kids Club Dandenong North Philosophy
Choosing care for your child is such an important decision and we aim to support every family each step of the way to form an ongoing partnership.
All the children attending care at Kids Club Early Learning Centre are central to our philosophy and every child that walks through our doors is important to us.
Growing with Purpose
Guiding Philosophy
At Kids Club Early Learning Dandenong North, we respectfully acknowledgethe Boon Wurrung People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians ofthe land where Kids Club Early Learning Centre is located.
We extend our respect to all Aboriginal peoples and are committed to amplifying Aboriginaland Torres Strait Islander voices, integrating their culture and perspectives into our curriculum to enhance children’s sense of belonging and learning.
We believe in the transformative power of human connection, especially during those formative early years. We provide a nurturing environment where children build essential trust and emotional bonds, taking confident steps toward independence. Our commitment goes beyond basic care.
We cultivate a sense of security and well-being, instilling optimism and resilience, preparing children to face life’s challenges with confidence and a smile. We aim to create a supportive ‘club-like’ atmosphere where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.
This begins with our incredible educators. We prioritise not only their experience but also their genuine love for children and their commitment to holistic development. Happy and supported educators create a nurturing environment where children flourish. We foster a positive and supportive workplace culture, believing that engaged staff directly translate to enhanced care and engagement with children.
We also recognise the vital role of parents. We strive to build strong, collaborative partnerships, creating a sense of trust and mutual respect. We understand that our centre is a safe haven for families, offering a reliable space that allows parents to focus on their work and pea haven with peace of mind. We’re committed to supporting families in all aspects of their lives, offering guidance, advice, and assistance to those facing challenges.
Our commitment extends beyond our centre walls. We believe in nurturing the next generation of responsible citizens by actively engaging with our community. Fostering strong community ties supports children’s development and creates a supportive network around them. Our curriculum nurtures each child’s learning and development through a rich balance of play-based learning and intentional, teacher-led experiences. It is guided by:
- The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),
- The Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), and
- The principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, which recognises children as competent, capable, and active contributors to their own learning.
We value culturally responsive teaching, encouraging children to learn about themselves, their culture, their community, and their environment. We are also committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility, empowering children to become responsible global citizens. We believe that by promoting a culture of ongoing learning and reflection, consistently updating our practices based on the latest research, we can provide a truly exceptional early childhood experience for all. This includes celebrating the rich tapestry of Australian cultures, with a particular emphasis on the profound respect for land and nature inherent in Australian Aboriginal culture.
This holistic approach, rooted in empathy, collaboration, and community engagement, defines the Kids Club experience.
